BBBS INDEPENDENCE is such a very special organization to us. We are so grateful for their work. Our CEO'S uncle was the first person in Camden, in 1968, to volunteer to request to be a biracial matched Big Brother. He was matched and they have shared family events, weddings, etc, and continue to be like family to each other. Our youth relationships and support are so important, critical.
We have volunteered with Big Brother Independence on many occasions and learned first hand how important their work is. Delivering turkeys to families in the city, kids were often found home alone. Stories during Covid were eye opening. We have had the pleasure of hearing both struggle and success stories of the kids that they help. There are still so many kids and families in need. BBBS teams up with many groups to educate and empower the youth. We have enjoyed the past few years attending their DEI& Workplace Mentoring Summit. This past year several youth attended the panel to share their point of views, and great future plans for personal success.
BBBS have partnered with The Philadelphia Eagles for years for this great fashion show. Let's help them to reach more supporters in our community. It is an awesome show! Watch the style and meet the Eagles. Let's all show up and support to create resolve and GREAT LOVE in our city. It all starts with the youth.
